Greatdays selected the Wedgwood factory to launch their 2011 Group Travel Guide as Wedgwood now features in two of the great tour suggestions in the guide 'Petals and Porcelain' and the new 'Hands on' Girls Getaway programme located in the new premium tour section.

At Wedgwood master potter John gave a demonstration to Paul and Martin on the art of throwing a jasper vase. Next year's Group Travel Guide is certainly the most comprehensive guide to date with 180 pages packed with interesting ideas, suggestions and tour offers. New UK tours include a new 5 day tour to the Eden Project and Devon highlights, based in Plymouth and the favourite Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. A new 'Men and Motors' tour features the West Midlands motor heritage. The favourite 'Manchester's Concorde and Ship Canal Cruise' is now bundled with Tatton Park gardens so its an even better treat.

For lovers of England's north country, a perfect 5 day tour based in a luxury country house hotel in Northumbria taking in Hadrian's Wall, Alnwick and Cragside Gardens plus mysterious Holy Island. Scotland gets a revamp with a new East Coast Castles and Gardens tour based near Aberdeen and a Highland Rails tour packed with scenic train journeys aboard heritage rolling stock.

European programmes include the popular Copenhagen and Sweden tour, a new Treasures of French tour featuring medieval Provins, the chateau of Fontainebleau and a spectacular evening at the candlelit Vaux-le-Vicomte. Last month Greatdays were out in the Somme and Ypres researching the new WW1 battlefields programme including the newly opened tunnels network near Arras.
