2018 Greatdays staff conference, celebrating a year of success!
The successful handling of a major group during the Catalan protests in Barcelona was highlighted at this year’s Greatdays Travel Group staff conference.
Held at the Mercure Chester Abbots Well hotel in Cheshire, the event brings together the Greatdays product, sales, Disney and finance teams to review the successes of the past year, and to update colleagues on new projects and events planned for the next 12 months.
In the evening, a gala dinner featured the presentation of the company’s long service awards. 17 staff received recognition, including over 15 years: Gina Halden and Martin Salter, over 25 years Diana Woolf and Jenny Murray, over 30 years: Paul Beaumont and John Beaumont
Paul Beaumont, Greatdays executive director, says: “Each year, we get all of our staff together to celebrate the year’s successes, to reward long service, and to take a look ahead.
In addition to our Barcelona challenge, successes included the launch of our new Manchester Sightseeing product, and the organisation of our third Magical Pride event at Disneyland® Paris. Each year we also present the Greatdays Excellence Awards, specific examples where staff have gone above and beyond the call of duty.”
Welcoming staff at the start of the conference, John Beaumont, Greatdays’ founder and chairman, praised staff for their commitment professionalism and enthusiasm and facing more than the usual number of operational challenges.
The conference was facilitated by coach tourism consultant and former trade magazine editor Stuart Render. “Having worked closely with Greatdays over recent years it was a real pleasure to be invited to facilitate the conference,” he says. “What was really noticeable was the pride shown by each of the Greatdays teams as they presented their successes to colleagues.”
