Highgrove Royal Gardens

26th April 2017
Sales Department

I recently had the opportunity to visit the wonderful private gardens at Highgrove. Thirty years in the making, the Gardens have been shaped by the vision of HRH the Prince of Wales and now stand as one of the most creatively inspired gardens of our time. On arrival security is tight, as you would expect, and all visitors must bring either photographic identity or two forms of proof of address dated within the last 3 months. Mobile phones must be switched off and left in the vehicle and cameras or binoculars are also not allowed.

Disability access requirements need to be advised in advance, wheelchair / mobility users are accepted. However the route may vary slightly as some paths are not suitable.

Groups must be pre-booked and are limited to a maximum of 26 and are taken round by one of The Prince’s exert guides, on this occasion the very knowledgeable Pauline. They will give you a unique insight into how each gardening ideals and organic principles of The Prince of Wales have driven the evolution of each. Tours last approximately two hours after which you can sample the various dishes in the Orchard restaurant and or visit the Highgrove shop.
