Killarney and the beautiful South West Corner of Ireland
Gina, our B2B Sales Manager, and Amy, our Irish Product Specialist have recently returned from the Emerald Isle where they visited one of the most requested destinations in Ireland – Killarney and the beautiful south west corner.
Their aim was to visit as many hotels and attractions as possible over the course of 4 days, and to see why the area is so popular for tourists.
Visits were made to Bunratty Folk Park, Foynes Flying Boat Museum, Lartigue Monorail, Muckross House & Folk Park, Garnish Island with cruise, Bantry House & Gardens and a Dingle Bay cruise. Several hotels were also inspected, many of which we already feature in our tours together with some new ones. Their route took in Adare, Tralee, Killarney, part of the Ring of Kerry, Kenmare and Bantry Bay driving through some of the most spectacular scenery.
A couple of highlights included a Rib-boat adventure around Dingle Bay and being able to see its most famous inhabitant up close and personal, Fungie the Dolphin, and also to have the opportunity to hold an original Hollywood Oscar given to the famous Irish actress, Maureen O’Hara, together with a chance to see a collection of her wardrobe at the Foynes Flying Boat Museum before they go on public display later this year.
