Making Cologne in Cologne

Jess, from the cruise operations team recently spent a few days on-board the Brabant, Fred Olsen’s newest addition to the fleet.  Sailing from Dusseldorf along the Rhine & Mosselle to Koblenz, Jess saw beautiful scenery filled with vineyards and picturesque villages.  On one of the shore excursions, she created her own perfume at 4711, the home of cologne, in Cologne and sampled a few of the wines of the Rhine too.  The food was delicious, the staff attentive and the overall experience was fantastic.  Jess said: “A river cruise is a great way to see the beautiful scenery slowly passing by but also the numerous ports of call, meant there was time to explore on foot the towns situated along the banks of the river”.
