Enjoy the best of two magnificent cities in the South West, Bristol and Bath, in this exciting tour. You will spent your morning in regal Bath. Here you will learn all about its origins as a Roman spa town and its flourishing in the Regency period. Recommended are the spa water juices at The Pump Rooms, which are good for your health and delicious.

A Guided Drive through Bath.

It is not difficult to see why Bath is the only city in the UK to be designated a World Heritage Site. With 2000 years of history to explore there is a lot to see. The Romans founded the city as a spa town called Aquae Sulis in AD43. It was still a popular place to take the waters in the Georgian period, when Jane Austen was inspired to write ‘Northanger Abbey’ and  ‘Persuasion’.
After meeting your guide you will embark on a short guided drive through this lovely city. After your drive you can visit the Royal Crescent (additional admission fees apply), one of the greatest examples of Georgian architecture in the country. Alternatively, relax in one of the many public gardens in the city, follow in the footsteps of Bath’s past inhabitants by admiring the Roman Baths or taste the spa water at The Pump Room.

Lunch

A two-course meal with tea and coffee will be served.

Tales Tour: Brunel’s Bristol

Board the coach and enjoy a trip around Brunel’s Bristol. We hope you have a head for heights as you marvel at the feat of engineering that is the Clifton Suspension Bridge, designed for a competition by Brunel when he was only 24. You will also pass SS Great Britain, part of his London to New York transport system, and Brunel House, which was originally the Great Western Hotel, designed to accommodate those lucky passengers travelling on the SS Great Britain.

Blaise Castle House Museum

Enjoy an interesting hour or so at Blaise Castle House Museum, located in an 18th century manor house.
