Penshurst Place and Hever Castle
Today we visit Penshurst Place & Gardens, a 14th century manor house once owned by Henry VIII and used as his hunting lodge. Visitors can see the impressive medieval Baron’s Hall, the state rooms, gardens and parkland. The magnificent Hever Castle & Gardens is the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. Set within 125 acres of glorious gardens, the house reveals the story of her early life. An optional one-hour guided tour or audio guide is available.
Canterbury, Canterbury Cathedral and Leeds Castle
The day begins with a private tour of the spectacular Canterbury Cathedral, followed by free time in the historic city centre. At Leeds Castle, one of Kent’s best known attractions, you’ll have the opportunity to discover both the Castle and some of the 500 acres of beautiful parkland.
Dover Castle, Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway, and Rye
A morning visit to Dover Castle to discover the Castle’s Great Tower, the Underground Hospital and the Secret Wartime Tunnels that played a key role in WWII. In the afternoon we take a ride on the one third-size Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway before visiting the medieval town of Rye.
