Suggested itinerary

Days 1

Fly from the UK

Fly to Stockholm where a coach will transfer you to your chosen hotel in Stockholm. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy some free time to get your bearings. Overnight in Stockholm.

Day 2

Stockholm Sightseeing

A free day to explore one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. Built on 14 islands, the beautiful buildings, greenery, fresh air and proximity to the water are distinctive traits of this city. Walk around the beautiful Gamla Stan, the Old Town, which is one of the largest and best preserved medieval city centres in Europe, and one of the foremost attractions in Stockholm. This is where Stockholm was founded in 1252. The narrow winding cobblestone streets, with their buildings in so many different shades of gold, give Gamla Stan its unique character. See one of the largest palaces in Europe. The Royal Palace is the official residence of His Majesty the King of Sweden, with over 600 rooms. Overnight in Stockholm.

Day 3

Stockholm to Helsinki

In the morning, we include a stunning guided cruise through Stockholm’s archipelago. On the 21/2 hour cruise the tour guide will tell you all about what’s typical of the archipelago. After the cruise, you have just enough time to have some lunch before boarding your luxurious Tallink Silja ship at 17.00hrs to take you on your overnight crossing to Helsinki. Relax on-board with a choice of restaurants and bars before settling in for some of the entertainment on-board.

Day 4

Helsinki Sightseeing

Arrive into Helsinki at 10.00hrs. You will have plenty of time to explore this modern European city famous for its design and high technology. From the Senta Square and Cathedral to the UNESCO sight of the Suomenlinna Sea Fortress, Helsinki has attractions for everyone. Explore the famous market square for some traditional market foods and treats. Overnight in Helsinki..

Day 5

Helsinki to Tallinn

After breakfast, we depart Helsinki for the two hour ferry crossing to Tallinn. Upon arrival in Tallinn you are free to roam in this city of contrasts. Its medieval old town sits side by side with the 21st century city of modern glass buildings. The city’s pride and joy is its old town but equally enchanting is the Kadriorg district, a throwback to the time when Estonia was ruled by the Russian Tsars. Other areas of Tallinn are perfect for those who want to get a glimpse of Soviet-era life, or just want to spend time in the great outdoors. Overnight in Tallinn.

Day 6

Tallinn Sightseeing and overnight ferry

More free time to enjoy Tallinn. Enjoy a delicious lunch in a traditional restaurant, grab a bargain in the many small boutiques or enjoy a pint in a beer cellar. At 18.00hrs the ship awaits for your overnight crossing back to Stockholm.

Day 7

Stockholm and return to UK

Depending on your departure time, have some more free time in Stockholm before your return flight back to the UK.
