Bruges Christmas Market Mini-Cruise 2017 – Last Few Places Remaining!
FOR INDIVIDUALS AND SMALL GROUPS – NO MINIMUM NUMBERS REQUIRED
This December, Greatdays are operating their successful mini cruise to Bruges for the 4th consecutive year! Tried and Tested, this mini cruise is a firm favourite with Greatdays’ clients.
Enjoy a superb mini-cruise to Belgium for a day in magnificent medieval Bruges, and explore a Christmas Market in one of Europe’s most stunning settings. Bruges is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe, and popular throughout the year. The iconic canals reflect the beautiful façades, while the Belfry towers over the cobbled Market Square.
In December, Bruges’ Christmas Markets turn the town into a fairy-tale city. The main Grote Markt square is filled with fabulous market stalls, selling gifts, chocolates and trinkets. For the brave, why not take to the open-air ice rink?
For those feeling a little more cultural, the Historium museum gives visitors a unique look at medieval Bruges and a chance to truly experience the era in the new virtual reality exhibit. The museum’s Duvelorium cafe offers many famous – as well as lesser-known – Belgian beers. The Choco-Story museum and Frietmuseum offer an interesting take on two of Belgium’s greatest exports: chocolate and chips.
Alternatively, why not take a relaxing canal cruise (subject to canals not being frozen!) and see the town from a different angle, or simply wander the cobbled streets filled with tempting shops, bars and restaurants.
In our exclusive package, make your own way to the port at Hull, to be met by Greatdays staff for our overnight sailing from Hull to Zeebrugge with P&O Ferries. On board the overnight crossing, enjoy an extensive buffet dinner as well as some fantastic onboard entertainment.

3rd December 2017
Cruise from Hull
Arrive in Hull and board the P&O ship for the overnight cruise to Belgium. Whilst on-board, enjoy an extensive buffet dinner in The Kitchen restaurant. After dinner, why not settle down in the Sunset Show Lounge or the Moonlight Lounge to take in the night’s entertainment.
Enjoy an on-board breakfast as you sail into Zeebrugge before departing the ship. Board your coach for your short transfer to Bruges, arriving approximately 10am. A short walk from the coach park – central Bruges is pedestrianized to preserve its charm, you will be amazed by the historic city.
You can enjoy around 6 hours exploring Bruges and the fantastic sights and Christmas Markets (depending on sailing times). The Christmas Market will be housed on the main Grote Markt Square, with an ice rink at its heart. Here you can purchase many delightful gifts and sample some of Belgium’s specialities – waffles, chocolate, chips and beer!
Alternatively, perhaps visit Historium Brugge, one of the city’s most popular attractions, and look back at the history of Bruges from 1435 in 5S, a new concept that stimulates the five senses. Also worth visiting is the Beguinage, perhaps enjoy a chocolate tasting or take a canal cruise to see the town from a different perspective?
In the late afternoon, board your transfer back from Bruges to Zeebrugge, and re-board the ferry. After checking in, once again enjoy a 3-course buffet dinner and an evening at leisure, perhaps enjoying more live entertainment during our overnight cruise back to the UK.
