Enjoy a trip to see the stunning snowdrops at Dunham Massey this winter. Take a nice walk through the winter garden and view hundreds of thousands of snowdrops.
The seven-acre winter garden at Dunham Massey is the largest of its kind in Britain. Since the garden opened in 2009, over 200,000 double and single snowdrops have been planted, which now create a shimmering carpet of white from late December to early February. The garden contains almost 700 different plant species, including 20,000 narcissi that will also be in bloom in early spring. Wildlife continue to be attracted to the garden well into the depths of winter, with snowdrops providing the early forage for bees, and woodpeckers burrowing into tree trunks looking for food.

Snowdrops at Dunham Massey
Snowdrops are one of the first signs of life in gardens after the long winter months and a welcome sign that spring will soon be on its way.
At 7 acres, Dunham’s Winter Garden is the largest of its kind in the UK. Designed with the help of plantsman Roy Lancaster OBE, the garden is home to over 1600 winter shrubs, trees and evergreens chosen for their scent, colour and texture.
