Your guide will meet you in Ashbourne. This pretty market town has plenty of cafes and tea rooms to choose from for a refreshing cuppa and maybe a piece of special Ashbourne gingerbread.
Lunch at The Mainsail Restaurant
Enjoy a two-course lunch followed by tea and coffee. This popular lunch venue has large picture windows and a balcony terrace, perfect for a spot of bird watching or to see sail boats and windsurfers gliding by on the great expanse of water.
Crich Tramway Village
Arrive with your group at the reception of the Tramway Village, where you will receive an old fashioned 1d, which you will exchange for your tram ticket, allowing you unlimited travel on any of the working tramcars during your visit. Catch the next tram from the entrance to ‘Town End’, the hub of the village.
Ride the Trams! Use your ticket for unlimited tram rides between ‘Town End’ and ‘Glory Mine’. There will be time to visit the workshops, exhibitions and shops before it’s time for home.
An accessible tram with capacity for up to five wheelchairs can be specially requested. Please advise when booking. Accessible trams are available from Town End but coaches can drop off there.
