Lunch at Ye Olde Punch Bowl
On the outskirts of Bridgnorth, this cosy country pub has been a Greatdays favourite for many years now. You will enjoy a mouth-watering two course carvery cooked on traditional Aga cookers.
Tales Tour: Severnth Heaven!
The scenery in this part of Shropshire is made up of gentle rolling hills in the countryside with the Severn cutting a swathe through the fields of corn and dark green coppices. The views will be of ancient stone buildings with blackened oak beams in pretty villages.
Cruise Aboard the Sabrina – The Goddess of the River
Enjoy a delightful 45 minutes on board ‘Sabrina’, cruising between the Welsh and English Bridges along the picturesque River Severn. The town of Shrewsbury is famous for many things; Ellis Peters set historical murder mystery books about Brother Cadfael at the Abbey, Charles Darwin grew up here and Percy Thrower was the Superintendant of the Quarry for 28 years. Boarding the boat is by ramp not steps and inside the boat there are 4/5 steps with a handrail.
