London Museum of the Docklands and Narrowboat Trip
After breakfast, meet your guide who will give you an introduction to London Docklands. Your first stop will be at the Museum of the Docklands, where you can learn about fascinating chapters of Docklands history including the Trade Expansion, London, Slavery and Sugar, and the Docklands at War. There’ll be a short walking tour of the area, before driving to Camden, where you’ll discover another of London’s waterways, with a 50-minute exploration by narrowboat of London’s Regents Canal, part of the Grand Union Canal. Elegant town houses back onto the hidden waterway, which takes you from the cobbled and flagged courtyard at Camden Lock, through leafy Regents Park and the terraces of London Zoo, to Little Venice. You’ll then return to your hotel later in the afternoon.
After breakfast return home. You may wish to end your stay with a journey on the River Thames by MBNA Thames Clipper, the fast and frequent waterway service that offers unique views of some of London’s most iconic landmarks.
