Over two dusky evenings, the picturesque medieval village of Dunster is transported to a bygone era under the glow of candlelight. The village comes alive with a celebration of Christmas past. This includes candlelight and torch processions, carol singers, Morris dancers, street entertainers, a Victorian roundabout and street stalls selling traditional food and drink. Money raised by street collections and program sales are donated to charity.

Dunster by Candlelight
In the day, you have free time to explore the local area. After an early dinner make your way to the picturesque village of Dunster, foreshadowed by the imposing castle. For this weekend only the village turns it back on the present and lights the streets with candles*. There is a riot of street entertainers including Carol Singers, Morris Dancers, and Hand Bell Ringers. There is also an abundance of delicious street food and seasonal treats can be purchased in the many shops and stalls.
*Electric lamps are also used.
