Rutland Water
Meet your knowledgeable guide for the day and embark on a scenic and interesting coach tour around Rutland Water. You will have the opportunity to view the church in the water, which was once part of a small community that lived in the area. It is considered to be one of the largest artificial lakes in Europe. Also, there will be the opportunity for your group to stop for morning refreshments before boarding your coach. Afterwards, tour past King Richard III’s birthplace and the site of execution of Mary Queen of Scots at Fotheringhay. On you go to Oundle to see how parts of the destroyed castle were reused in various buildings.

Narrow alleyways and hidden courtyards house some delightful independent shops and boutiques, along with tearooms and cafes. So, there is plenty to keep you occupied for an hour or so.
