Coast – Best Seller
Barton Grange Home and Garden Centre
Meet your guide on your way up to this fantastic garden centre. Here you might like to take coffee or tea looking out over the River Brock and the surrounding countryside. This gorgeous Home and Garden Centre opened in 2008 and is something very special. The houseplant area, through to the fabulous outdoor area, is truly inspirational. Less than six months after it opened the farm shop won an award.
Lunch at The Royal Venue
Take your lunch on the recently renovated North Promenade at Cleveleys. So after a leisurely lunch in this bright and airy restaurant with its huge picture windows looking over to the Lake District in the distance, you may like to blow away the cobwebs with a short stroll along the prom.
Tales Tour: Fylde Coast Tour
What about the Galleon from the Spanish Armada coming aground on the shoreline and the cannon balls found in the playing fields of Rossall school? What do we know of the small fishing village of Blackpool – it was just a few scattered cottages and a handful of inns with one water well and just one shop. You will learn of the Penny Stone and of how Blackpool acquired its name.
Free time in Lytham St Annes
At the end of the day, enjoy time at the seaside in Lytham St Annes. Just six miles from the bright lights of Blackpool, Lytham and St Annes, Fylde, are worlds apart in both character and atmosphere. With an expansive sandy beach, Victorian pier, historic windmill, a ‘royal’ golf course and stylish independent shops, the dual seaside towns of Lytham and St Annes continue to remind us why we all love the British seaside so much.
