Day 1

Depart the UK.

Make your way to Holyhead or Pembroke and board the ferry to Dublin or Rosslare. Upon arrival in Ireland continue your journey to Arklow – the journey from either port takes a little over an hour. Upon arrival at the hotel enjoy tea, coffee and biscuits.  Check into your rooms and freshen up before enjoying dinner.

Day 2

Powerscourt Gardens & Bray.

This morning after breakfast enjoy a slide show of the local area presented by a member of staff. Afterwards, travel up to Powerscourt Gardens which is proudly one of the most beautiful estates in Ireland. The stunning gardens include Japanese gardens, a dolphin pond, stunning rose beds and herbaceous borders.    There is also a beautiful waterfall to see (supplement applies).

In the afternoon, visit the lovely harbour town of Bray, based in the South of Dublin. Spend free time wandering down the 1 mile promenade or visit the 17th century Kilruddery Country House and Gardens where you can enjoy a tour of the house and/or gardens. The gardens are perfect for gardeners and bird watchers to enjoy. Return back to your hotel for dinner and enjoy entertainment.

Day 3

Mount Usher Gardens, AVOCA and Glendalough.

After breakfast visit Mount Usher Gardens in the nearby Avoca. The garden houses over 5000 species of shrubs and plants. Visitors can follow one of the shaded winding paths and sit on one of the benches scattered throughout the nine hectares of gardens along the River Vartry.  Afterwards visit the Avoca handweavers where you can see the weavers making the world famous AVOCA shrugs and throws, and even purchase one for yourself. In the afternoon pass the stunning Wicklow Gap to visit nearby Glendalough. There is a popular visitor centre here where you will witness the meeting of 2 lakes and can wander around the St Kevin monastic ruins. Return back to your hotel for dinner.

Day 4

Dublin.

After breakfast, travel up to Dublin to enjoy a full day in Ireland’s Capital City.  Here you can enjoy countless attractions including the Guinness Storehouse, Teelings or Jameson distillery, a river Liffey or Dublin Bay cruise, a tour of Kilmainham jail, a visit to Dublin Zoo in the beautiful Pheonix Park, and much much more. A day can be easily filled wandering around Dublin’s Georgian Squares, the cobbled and atmospheric Temple Bar, St Stephens Green Park and Grafton Street shopping area. In the evening at your hotel enjoy a farewell Irish themed menu followed by traditional Irish music.

Day 5

Return Home.
