Suggested itinerary by coach

Day 1

Buxton and travel to hotel.

Before arriving at your hotel why not visit the spa town of Buxton. Admire the Regency architecture and the Pavilion Gardens. There are plenty of interesting shops in Spring Gardens and on the Market Place. Afterwards arrive at your hotel and relax before dinner.

Day 2

Chatsworth House and Bakewell.

In the morning, you visit Chatsworth House and experience the best of English art and architecture, history and landscape. The House has over 30 rooms to explore, from the magnificent Painted Hall, to the family-used chapel. Make time to visit the spectacular gardens and experience a taste of Chatsworth in their shops, restaurants and award winning Farm shop. You may wish to spend the rest of the day exploring the town of Bakewell. Modern Bakewell has something for everyone, from its many historic buildings and its wonderful riverside walks along the banks of the Wye.

Day 3

Hardwick Hall and Bolsover Castle.

Today, you will visit Hardwick Hall, one of Britain’s greatest and most complete Elizabethan houses. Inside the atmospheric Hall you can see Europe’s finest collection of 16th and 17th century embroideries and tapestries. Outside, tranquil walled courtyards enclose the fragrant restored herb garden, orchards, and lawns. Across the Vale of Scarsdale, Bolsover Castle enjoys panoramic views over the Derbyshire countryside. Occupying the site of a Medieval castle, it was bought in 1608 by Sir Charles Cavendish who rebuilt the fairytale ‘Little Castle’ designed as a fantasy entertainment house with magnificent wall paintings.

Day 4

Return home.

After breakfast start your journey home.
