Travel to Belfast, Titanic Belfast and Crumlin Gaol
Fly from your local airport to Belfast this morning. Upon arrival you will be collected by a local driver who will take you to your hotel. You will have a full day to explore Belfast with your City Sightseeing bus pass, with every tour delivered by a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide.
Over one hundred years on from the launch of the world’s most famous ship, experience the Titanic story in the city of her birth, Belfast. Re-live the drama of her sinking and visit her wreck on the ocean floor, all during your time at the Titanic Belfast Centre.
In the afternoon, visit Crumlin Gaol. You will enjoy a guided tour of the Gaol, which housed well known IRA members amongst other criminals from 1845, until the gates were closed one final time, in 1996.
The bus will take you to all of the city’s main attractions, so time permitting visit other attractions which are of interest (payable locally). Enjoy dinner at leisure at one of the city’s many eateries.
Belfast to Giants Causeway including Bushmills Distillery
After breakfast, begin your journey to the legendary Giants Causeway, where you will discover the exhibition centre, learn the myth of Finn McCool and even venture out onto the rocks themselves. Along the way you’ll get a photo opportunity at the stunning Carrickfergus Castle, before arriving at Carrick – a – Rede rope bridge, one of the National Trust’s most prize possessions, and marvel at the views out to sea. Next it’s on to Bushmills Whiskey Distillery where you can learn about Northern Ireland’s famous whiskey. Finish the day with a photo opportunity at Dunluce Castle, before you drive back to Belfast, passing through the picturesque Cushendall, Glenariff and Cushendun villages. Enjoy dinner at leisure in the City.
After breakfast, the day is free to explore the vibrant culture and history of Belfast. Other highlights of this historic city include City Hall, St. George’s Market, St. Anne’s Cathedral and the Botanic Gardens.
This afternoon/evening we say farewell to Belfast as your coach collects you to take you back to the airport for your return flight home.
