Depart the UK.
Fly from your local UK airport to Shannon, or take the ferry from the UK to either Dublin or Rosslare. Travel onto Adare and check into your hotel. Relax before dinner.
Galway or Cork City.
Today you have the option of visiting either one of these iconic Irish cities. Travel north to the cosmopolitan City of Galway, an atmospheric City well renowned for its horse racing. The Centre itself is alive with cobbled shopping streets, Eyre Square (The John F Kennedy memorial park), the Spanish Arch and Christopher Columbus memorial. Alternatively, travel south to Cork, Ireland’s third most populated City. A well used Sea Port town, Cork has many delights to offer including the Jameson Midleton Whisky distillery and the Titanic trail. For picturesque views, visit the quaint harbour town of Kinsale, renowned as the gourmet centre of the South.
Limerick and free time in Adare.
This morning visit Limerick, the City of Culture in 2014. Spend the day absorbing the local culture such as King Johns Castle, and sport enthusiasts can learn the history of Munster Rugby at Thomond Park Stadium’s interactive museum. Seasonally, you can take a River Cruise along the Shannon. Later, spend free time in the quaint town of Adare, visiting the impressive Adare Manor. Alternatively, spend some time indulging in the Woodlands House Hotel thermal spa and pool (additional fees to the hotel may apply).
Killarney National Park.
Today, travel to County Kerry to enjoy the magnificent scenery that this stunning County has to offer. Visit Tralee, the largest town in Kerry. Perhaps a trip to the Fenit Lighthouse to overlook the Atlantic Ocean, or a stroll on the Banna strand beach. Next it’s on to Killarney, Kerry’s most in demand town for tourists to Kerry. Why not add a jaunting car trip to Muckross House and gardens, alternatively enjoy the great atmosphere and views that Killarney has to offer.
Return to the UK.
Depart your hotel after breakfast and return home via flight from Shannon or ferry from either Rosslare or Dublin.
