Day 1
Travel to Ostend
Depending on your preference, travel to Belgium via a short sea sailing or enjoy a comfortable overnight sailing. Perhaps enjoy a buffet meal onboard and settle into your cabin.
Day 2
Belgian Coast, Ostend and Blankenberge
This morning, we visit Blankenberge and explore the town with its many Art-Nouveau building. Take a stroll along the promenade that runs alongside the vast sandy beach, and explore the marina and Belgium’s only pier. This afternoon, we return to Ostend. Enjoy some free time to get to know Ostend, with 9km of wide sandy beach and a spacious promenade. For a dash of history, discover the remains of the German ‘Atlantikwall’. Along the coast, there are more than 60 World War 1 bunkers, observation posts and artillery positions.
Day 3
Bruges
Just half an hour away is the magnificent medieval city of Bruges. With its cobbled streets, lazy canals and charming buildings – not to mention incredible chocolate – it’s sure to steal your heart! Perhaps take a leisurely canal cruise along the waterways, or visit the ‘Historium’ in the main square. This popular virtual reality experience delves into the history of this fascinating place.
Day 4
Return to the UK
Depart Belgium and make your way back to the ferry port for a short sea sailing or an overnight sailing arriving in the UK on day 5.

The hotel is a 2-minute walk from the sandy Ostend beach, a 16-minute walk from art exhibits at Mu.ZEE and 6 km from the 19th-century Fort Napoleon, Ostend. Rooms and suites offer free Wi-Fi, satellite TV and en suite bathrooms, as well as safes, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Some have sitting areas, whirlpool tubs and/or minifridges. Amenities include an indoor pool, a bar and a sauna, plus a hammam, meeting space and an exercise room. Parking is available.

This hotel is in a great location on seafront and close to all the local amenities. The hotel features a bar and lounge area as well as a gym along with a Jacuzzi, sauna and sunbed area. There is also a roof terrace with loungers and a lovely view of the beach. Most rooms in the hotel can be twin or double. and there are 5 singles which are DSU. Upgrades to luxury or superior rooms are available. Upgraded rooms have tea and coffee facilities and air conditioning. Evening meals are available in the hotel (3-course set menu). Coach parking is available free of charge just outside city centre. Coaches can drop off and pick up outside the hotel.
Mercure Oostende****
This hotel is centrally located on the main high street next to the casino and seafront. The hotel is Modern and spacious lounge and lobby area with a bar. Lift to all floors.
There are a total of 95 rooms. There are also superior view room upgrades available and all rooms have tea/coffee, shower over bath, hairdryer, air conditioning, TV, iron, safe and mini bar. 9 rooms also have a balcony. There is no on-site coach parking available however the coach can pick up and drop off outside hotel. Coach parking is free and is around a 5-10 minute walk away.
Hotel Imperial, Ostend ***
The Imperial lies in the heart of Ostend, 0.7 miles from the train station, 250 yards from the North Sea and just a 2 minute walk from the sandy beach. This hotel features free WiFi throughout, a bar and a 24-hour reception. Each room offers cable TV, a telephone and a desk. The bathroom is equipped with a bath or shower. Free coach parking is available approx 500 metres from the hotel.
