Snowdrop Valley and Gardens of the South West – NEW GROUP TOUR
Come and see Exmoor’s best kept secret; Snowdrop Valley. Located near Wheddon Cross Snowdrop Valley is a truly marvellous feat of nature. In late January and February a blanket of snowdrops cover the valley, and the normally private land is open for guests to explore and to admire the breath-taking spectacle for themselves. On this tour we will also visit the remarkable gardens at Dunster Castle, Knightshayes and the Walled Gardens of Cannington. We stay at the Yarn Market Hotel, a warm and cosy hotel situated in the beautiful village of Dunster.

Snowdrop Valley and Dunster Castle
Snowdrop Valley is a remote valley in a hidden part of Exmoor close to Wheddon Cross. Visitors can explore the valley while the beautiful carpet of snowdrops is in bloom throughout February each year. Winter walking shoes are essential. A shuttle bus is available from the coach drop off point. In the afternoon we return to Dunster and the famous Castle, located on a steep hill which can be seen from the hotel. A walk around the gardens at Dunster Castle takes you around the world and through four different microclimates.
Knightshayes – National Trust
Having received a personalised welcome, discover 30 acres of formal and woodland gardens, along with a fully productive kitchen garden and a guided tour of the fascinating Gothic Revival mansion (selected rooms). In the afternoon we spend time in the medieval town of Tiverton.
The Walled Gardens of Cannington
The Walled Gardens of Cannington lie within the grounds of a medieval priory and many of its fine buildings, including the walls of the garden, remain. The Gardens have classic and contemporary features including a Botanical Glasshouse where tropical plants can be seen. Here we have a guided tour and enjoy a hot drink and slice of cake. Next we take a scenic drive along the coast passing Minehead and Lynton then back through the Exmoor National Park.

Yarn Market Hotel ***
This charming and cosy hotel is situated in the beautiful village of Dunster, dominated by its castle, within Exmoor National Park. The ancient Yarn Market is directly in front of the hotel. The hotel has 28 bedrooms with a lift to some floors. Homemade dinner is served in the restaurant on tables of x8-10.
