Suggested itinerary by coach

Day 1

Travel to your hotel

If time and route permit, why not stop-off in one of the many picturesque Cotswold towns. The Greatdays team can offer suggestions.

Day 2

Stratford-upon-Avon and Shakespeare

Today we enjoy a full day in Stratford-upon-Avon. We visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace, a timber-framed townhouse in the centre of the town. A short journey away by coach is the childhood home of Mrs Shakespeare, the world-famous Anne Hathaway’s Cottage. We return to the town centre where there’s free time for lunch and to explore the historic streets. In the late afternoon we take a relaxing sightseeing cruise on the River Avon, with unique views of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Holy Trinity Church and the surrounding countryside.

Day 3

Warwick Castle and return home

One of the UK’s leading visitor attractions, Warwick Castle offers a remarkable choice of things to do. Take a tour through the beautiful grand interiors to see the magnificent Great Hall and the lavish state rooms. Explore the battlements and turrets with spectacular views in all directions. Enter the ‘Time Tower’ and witness the birth of the castle, or take a trip through the ‘Horrible Histories’ Maze. There are several shows during the day, including jousting, birds of prey, and the Mighty Trebuchet, a colossal catapult and the largest working siege machine in the world. And after all that activity, relax with a stroll through the 64-acres of rolling landscaped gardens and fragrant Victorian rose garden. In the afternoon we travel home.
