Port Sunlight Village and Museum

Firstly, meet your guide at Port Sunlight. Port Sunlight is a true delight. Built at the end of the 19th century, this garden village was originally built as a community for workers at the nearby Lever factory. This model village is the work of over 30 architects. Hence, the variety of architecture and the beauty of the buildings is unique in the area. Enjoy a coffee in the museum, which tells you all about this fascinating purpose built village in the Wirral.

Guided drive

Afterwards, relax on your coach as your guide takes you around the sights of the village, telling you stories and background on life in the village.

Lunch at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight

Next, enjoy a delicious two-course lunch followed by tea and coffee at this historic venue in Port Sunlight.

Birkenhead Priory

The history of Birkenhead goes back beyond Victorian years. The oldest standing building on Merseyside, Birkenhead Priory encapsulates so much of the town’s history within a small, enclosed site. Founded in 1150, the monks of this Benedictine monastery looked after travellers for nearly 400 years and supervised the first regulated ‘Ferry ‘cross the Mersey’.

Accessibility – uneven but level access around most of the site; stairs render some parts of the site unavailable to all visitors. (Closed Monday and Tuesday.)

New Brighton

At the end of your day, enjoy a breath of seaside air and an opportunity to take tea with a panoramic view of the coastline.
