Bradbourne House Tour and Afternoon refreshments
Bradbourne House was previously the family home of the Twisden family since the early 18th century. The house as it is seen today was built between 1712 and 1715 although there was a Tudor house on the site built in the late 1500s. The House remained in the ownership of one family, the Twisdens, for around 400 years before being purchased by what is now The East Mailing Trust in 1938. From its humble beginnings with 22 acres of land and one small building in 1913, it now extend to a beautiful 500-acre estate around Bradbourne House and is filled with orchards, crop trials and vineyards. Here you will see all types of British fruit growing including apples, pears, cherries and strawberries.
Should Bradbourne House not be available , we will offer a tour of the East Malling Research Centre which is adjacent
