The highlight of this tour is afternoon tea at The Waldorf Hilton, but what is Afternoon Tea?

“Afternoon Tea is a tea-related ritual, introduced in Britain in the early 1840s. It evolved as a mini meal to stem the hunger and anticipation of an evening meal at 8pm.

Afternoon Tea is a meal composed of sandwiches (usually cut delicately into ‘fingers’), scones with clotted cream and jam, sweet pastries and cakes. Interestingly, scones were not a common feature of early Afternoon Tea and were only introduced in the twentieth century.”

We have a great venue for you in Central London, at the iconic Waldorf Hilton Hotel, located in the capital’s vibrant West End and enjoy a one night stay including English Breakfast and Afternoon Tea.

Dress code for afternoon tea is smart casual – no jeans.

After your tea, maybe take a stroll to Covent Garden – it’s just a few minutes’ walk away, or walk down to the Thames (less than 10 minutes’ walk) – you couldn’t ask for a better location.

There are also a few shows on Sunday evenings in the West End, please contact us for up to date information and prices.

Day 2

London with optional circular cruise, London Eye trip and return home

Enjoy a traditional English breakfast; you then have some free time to explore the sites of the Capital. We recommend taking a circular cruise on the Thames and follow this with a visit to the London Eye (supplement from £25.00 per person), or alternatively how about rounding your weekend off with a Monday morning visit to a Smoked Salmon factory in East London – see our “Smokey Old London” Tour for more details of this:   http://www.greatdays.co.uk/tour/london-smoked-salmon-demonstration-east-end-tour/

Leave London at your leisure to return home.
