Normandy a region full of contrasts brimming with history, culture, stunning natural scenery, remembrance sites and great food and drink, Normandy truly has it all with over 350 miles of coastline, three UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the tallest cathedral in France. It’s wonderful cities transform into a festive wonderland in the lead up to Christmas.
Rouen’s Christmas Market takes place on the square in front of the cathedral. Festive chalets line the square selling local crafts, decorations, and delicious Normandy delicacies. There are carousels, live music, and seasonal performances and don’t miss the evening light show on the cathedral and take a stroll through “Rouen Givrée,” the city’s winter festival with ice-skating and events throughout the centre.

Day 1
Depart the UK
Drive to Dover and travel to the ferry port for your short sea crossing to France and continue to your hotel for three nights.
Day 2
Rouen ‘Capital of Normandy’
Rouen, known as the ‘City of a Hundred Spires’ including its flamboyant Gothic Cathedral, the tallest in France. See the famous 14th century clock ‘Gros Horloge’ and stroll along the narrow winding streets of the old town.

(Please note that the city of Rouen offers free use of local public transport on Saturdays and there are also many museums that offer free entry)
Day 3
Honfleur
We travel to the picturesque port of Honfleur. The Christmas Market is located around the historic Vieux Bassin and Town Hall Square features local artisans, festive lights and culinary local festive delights. It offers an intimate atmosphere with charming wooden chalets, a small carousel, aromas of hot chocolate and cinnamon with daily activities for a quintessentially Norman festive experience.
Day 4
Return to the UK
Drive to the ferry port for the short sea crossing to the UK and home.
