Belfast City Break by Air
Enjoy a four night break in Belfast by air, birthplace of the Titanic. Spend time exploring the sights of this historic city, including Titanic, Ulster Museum, Crumlin Road Gaol and Hillsborough Castle. There is so much to see in this compact, vibrant centre of culture where you are surrounded by history. You may be visiting museums one moment and singing folk songs in one of the many traditional pubs the next! This tour takes us on a journey through Belfast, focusing on factual historic moments during a guided tour with a knowledgeable guide and during the commentary on the hop on hop off bus that departs from just outside the hotel. On day 3, we test our taste buds on McConnells Irish Whisky where we have the opportunity to sample 3 drams.

Suggested itinerary by air
Day 1
Travel to Belfast
Fly from your local airport to Belfast this morning.
Upon arrival you will be collected by a local transfer company who will take you to your hotel. We will have our afternoon at leisure.
The hotel will serve our three course meal in the evening.
Day 2
Best of Belfast Guided walking tour and Titanic Museum
We make use of the hop on hop off bus that departs from outside our hotel to travel to Stop 1 at Donegall Square West next to City Hall. The Guide will meet us there for a 75 minute Best of Belfast Walking tour. There will be plenty of opportunity to have rests during this tour.
This afternoon, we take the hop on hop off bus from the City Hall to Titanic Museum and enjoy free flow entry to the Museum. Over one hundred years on from the launch of the world’s most famous ship, experience the Titanic story in the city of her birth, Belfast. Re-live the drama of her sinking and visit her wreck on the ocean floor, all during your time at the Titanic Belfast Centre.
Take the opportunity to photograph the footprint of the Titanic from one of the many windows overlooking the docks to see the scale of this huge ship.
We return to the hotel for our evening meal.
Day 3
Ulster Museum, Crumlin Road Gaol including McConnells Irish Whisky Distillery
After breakfast we take the short walk to the local Ulster Museum to help make sense of the past, the present and the future through collections of art, natural science and history. Afterwards we hop onto the City Sightseeing bus to Crumlin Road Gaol for a self guided tour. We spend time at Crumlin Road Gaol and learn about its 150 years of history. Follow in the footsteps of 25,000 visitors and learn about the different prisoners including men, women, children and those jailed for political reasons. On your self-guided entrance to Crumlin Road Gaol, information comes in the form of audio, video and holograms.
McConnells Irish Whisky Distillery is located in a wing to the Gaol where we explore the past, present and future of McConnells Irish Whisky. We receive a welcome drink, tasting of 3 drams of whisky. The tour and tastings last approximately 1 hour and then we return to the hotel for our evening meal.
Please note: Maximum numbers per tastings is 25 people.
Day 4
Hillsborough Castle and Gardens
A local coach company will collect us for transfer to Hillsborough Castle and Gardens where we will spend the whole day. The Throne Room is a highlight of the visit, where the walls are covered in a beautiful green damask silk. Queen Elizabeth II received guests here to a ball to celebrate her coronation in 1953. In the gardens, there are 100 acres full of rare and specimen plants across the different areas of woodland, meadows and formal gardens. There is an award winning cafe.
We are transported back to hotel where we have our evening meal.
