The ‘Fab 2’ in Liverpool
Charlotte and Lisa from our UK Ops team spent the day in Liverpool. Their first visit was to Strawberry Fields, a must visit for any Beatles fan. They saw the famous red gates and immersed themselves in the inspiring history, including a fascinating exhibition and beautiful gardens.
Charlotte and Lisa ventured further towards the city centre to visit the Radisson Blu. The central hotel is currently undergoing a refurbishment and has views across the River Mersey, towards Pier Head and the Liver Building. The Beatles theme continued with a visit to the Beatles Story, which tells the story of how the ‘Fab 4’ met, were catapulted into stardom plus the meaning behind some of their most famous songs. A visit to Liverpool would not be complete without a visit to the famous Cavern Club, where of course the Beatles and many other bands have played. You can still feel the excitement of just being there, with live music during the afternoon and into the evening.
Charlotte and Lisa’s journey continued to the Heeton Hotel, again a prime location right in the heart of the city next to James St station. The bedrooms have recently been refurbished and breakfast is taken at the Liverpool Arms pub just next door.
The final visit of the day was to Mersey Ferries for an invitation only trip on their brand new vessel, the Royal Daffodil, experiencing a slightly extended version of their sightseeing cruise along the River Mersey.
There are several exciting events happening in Liverpool in 2028, including the 4 Queens spectacular, some Euro 2028 football matches and the Capital of Culture.
