Our three city tour will give you a fascinating insight into three of the North West’s greatest cities; Liverpool, Manchester and Chester and although all only a short distance apart, all with their own unique history and character.

Day 1

Travel to your hotel

Arrive at your hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2

Liverpool Guided Tour of the City and Museum of Liverpool

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of the city. See Pier head and the Three Graces (including the famous Liver Building), two fascinating Cathedrals and the stunning heritage Waterfront. A must see is the Museum of Liverpool. Opened in 2011, over 6,000 objects bring Liverpool’s incredible heritage to life, celebrating thousands of years of the city’s achievements. Return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 3

Manchester and City of Firsts Coach Tour

After a leisurely breakfast we stroll to MOSI, a large museum devoted to the development of science, technology and industry with emphasis on the city’s achievements in these fields. There is a cafe at the museum where we can have lunch (not included in price).

After lunch we board the ‘City of Firsts’ guided coach tour which takes us through the city centre and out to the suburbs. The tour features over 100 facts and original tales of Manchester’s buildings, history, transport, technology, religion, science, Manchester music, food, education, football, industry, culture, literature and politics.

Day 4

Return home and Chester

Before leaving the North West, with a guide to escort you, visit the City of Chester. Marvel at the beauty of the Cathedral, explore the Roman history of Chester at the Grosvenor Museum or the history of Army Regiments connected with Chester at the Military Museum or walk the Roman Walls.

Suggested Hotels

Cresta Court, Altrincham ***

This comfortable hotel is ideally located in Altrincham, only 30 minutes tram journey from central Manchester. It provides a great base to explore Manchester and the surrounding area. Many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel. Guests can enjoy a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant and relax in the bar area. There are 148 bedrooms, a lift to all floors and free coach parking onsite.

Park Royal Hotel, Warrington ****

This stylish 4-star hotel is just off the M56 motorway, and blends the modern with elegant grandeur. With easy access to Chester, Manchester and Liverpool, there are 146 modern bedrooms, lounge areas, restaurant and bar. The hotel offers a leisure centre with indoor pool, sauna and spa area. Breakfast is an extensive hot and cold buffet. Lift to all floors. Free onsite parking is available.

Jurys Inn Manchester ***

This stylish hotel is located at the heart of the city with the Manchester Central Convention Centre just around the corner and within walking distance to the main shopping streets and attractions. Guests can choose from a stylish all day bar menu, enjoy coffee at the all day Costa Coffee Bar and dine in the restaurant. There are 265 spacious bedrooms equipped with large soft beds, en-suite bathrooms, desks and TVs with freeview. Accessible bedrooms are designed to the highest specifications and include wide doorways, floor space to manoeuvre, low beds and fully accessible bedrooms. Coach parking can be found nearby.

All prices are per person based on sharing a double or twin room and with one free place for a coach driver or group organiser in a single room, both are based on a minimum 20 full fare paying passengers.
