The Three “T”s – Tea, Tower and Thames – NEW TOUR
Includes afternoon Tea on the Thames
Join us on this new Tour – The Three “T”s
Take Afternoon Tea on the Thames – Tea is a tea-related ritual, introduced in Britain in the early 1840s. It evolved as a mini meal to stem the hunger and anticipation of an evening meal at 8pm.
Afternoon Tea is a meal composed of sandwiches (usually cut delicately into ‘fingers’), scones with clotted cream and jam, sweet pastries and cakes. Interestingly, scones were not a common feature of early Afternoon Tea and were only introduced in the twentieth century.
Now’s your chance to take Afternoon Tea while cruising along the Thames. What a civilised way to pass the afternoon! And afterwards, a night in the Tower Hotel, centrally situated hotel with a full English breakfast on Monday morning. The cruise departs and returns to Tower Pier, just a short walk from the hotel and is a great way to spend the afternoon. During the 1 1/2 hour cruise, there is live commentary and you can take the air on the upper deck of the boat – weather permitting of course.
On Monday morning, a visit to the Tower of London awaits, again just a short walk from the hotel. During your visit you will have chance to explore the Crown Jewels, the infamous Tower ravens, the moat and other outdoor public areas, Tower Green, White Tower, Bloody Tower and the Medieval Tower Battlements .
