Royal Leamington Spa

Meet your friendly local guide en route to Royal Leamington Spa. This elegant town in Warwickshire began life quite unassumingly until Dr Kerr discovered the medicinal qualities of its spa water in the late 18th century. The town is still fashionable and chic, with its tree lined avenues, squares and beautiful gardens.

Lunch at Stratford Manor Hotel.

Following your morning visit enjoy a two course lunch with tea and coffee.

Tales Tour: Shakespeare and More

There is more to the Stratford area than just Shakespeare but it is impossible to forget the Bard of Avon when you are here. Your guide will take you on a short drive around Stratford and the surrounding countryside pointing out places of interest.

Shopping and Sightseeing in Stratford-upon-Avon

Stratford is a thriving market town on the banks of the River Avon, filled with lovely half timbered buildings and scenic riverside walks. Richard I first granted a charter to the town in the 12th century allowing it to hold a market. With the effects of the clearing of the Forest of Arden, it became a prosperous centre for agriculture. The town was brought to the world’s attention by its most famous son  William Shakespeare and there are plenty of important landmarks you can visit, such as his birth place and resting place at Holy Trinity Church. On a warm, sunny day there is nothing better than a gentle stroll along the river banks. Enjoy an ice cream while taking in the sights and sounds of this picturesque town.
