Cardiff, Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay and St Fagans National History Museum
A morning coach tour of Cardiff city centre brings you to Cardiff Bay, one of Europe’s biggest waterfront developments. We’ve arranged a guided walking tour behind-the-scenes at the magnificent Wales Millennium Centre. In the afternoon we visit St Fagans National History Museum, Wales’ most popular heritage attraction. This open-air museum chronicles the historical lifestyle, culture, and architecture of the Welsh people. More than 40 original buildings from different historical periods have been re-erected in the 100-acre parkland.
The Royal Mint Experience and Caerphilly Castle
Today we head to the new Royal Mint Experience to see how more than two billion coins from the UK and across the world are produced each year. The visit includes a guided factory tour and free time in the interactive exhibition. A short drive away is Caerphilly. We visit the imposing 13th century medieval castle, which has a tower which leans more than Pisa’s.
Return home possibly visiting the picturesque Wye Valley or Tintern Abbey on the way.
