The Causeway Coast, Giant’s Causeway, Bushmills Distillery
Today, travel along the scenic Causeway Coast via Portrush. At the UNESCO World Heritage Site Giant’s Causeway we visit the award-winning visitor centre. Next you can walk or take a bus down to the coastal path and the 40,000 interlocking hexagonal columns, some up to 12m high. From there head inland to the village of Bushmills, home to the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery.
Donegal and the Wild Atlantic Way
After breakfast we head to Magilligan Point and take the scenic Lough Foyle Ferry* across to Greencastle in Inishowen County Donegal, a busy fishing port with many fine tourist attractions located near the start of the Wild Atlantic Way. Here we visit the Inishowen Maritime Museum & Planetarium. There is free time to explore the harbour before retuning by ferry to County Londonderry.
