This morning, enjoy a guided walking tour of Chester’s main attractions  including the ‘The Rows’, the 700-year-old, two-tiered shopping galleries with an array of independent and high street names, and Chester Cathedral.

This afternoon, there is free time to explore the city at your leisure. Walk along the most complete city walls in Britain or take a short boat cruise on the River Dee (fare not included).

Llangollen, a steam train and the ‘Canal in the Sky’

This morning,  we head to Llangollen via the the spectacular Horseshoe Pass for a ride on the steam-hauled Railway to Carrog. Along your journey, enjoy 10 miles of glorious Welsh scenery along the banks of the River Dee.

This afternoon, we take a a 2 hour boat trip from Llangollen to Froncysyllte  across the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.

Conwy and Bodnant Garden

We travel along the North Wales coast to visit Conwy, with its magnificent 13^th century castle (entry not included) and quaint streets. In the heart of the town is Plas Mawr, an Elizabethan town house. On the quay nearby is the ‘Smallest House in Britain’. See if you can find it!

We then travel to Bodnant Garden. Created over 150 years, with plants collected and brought to Britain from far afield, and the incredible vision of generations of the McLaren family and Puddle head gardeners, this haven of rarity and beauty with a stunning backdrop of the Carneddau mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) is a delight for the senses. With year-round colour, the garden can be whatever you want it to be, whether that’s a hive of activity or a haven of tranquility and relaxation, this is truly a special place for all ages.
