Group Travel Tour Operator and DMC for Chester
Chester Winter Break with Cream Tea on the Dee
Wrap up warm and spend a few days exploring the historic city of Chester. Chester has the oldest and most complete city walls in Britain – some parts date back 2000 years. The views over the city and the River Dee from the city walls give a good insight into the history of Chester. There is also time to explore the centre on foot including the famous medieval ‘Rows’ with quirky independent shops and cafes nearby the beautifully decorated glass domed Grosvenor shopping centre. In the afternoon we board the Chester Boat and take a two hour cruise down the River Dee. We will be served a cream tea and hot drink as the scenic countryside passes us by. The boat is covered and heated making it a cosy trip and nice way to relax after a busy morning shopping.
Our hotel for this trip is the Holiday Inn Chester South a 4 star hotel located a short walk from the city centre and the River Dee. There is a health club with weights and a heated swimming pool. There is free WiFi for all guests and one restaurant that serves dinner and full English breakfast in the morning. The bar and lounge provide a welcoming space to relax and unwind after you day of walking and exploring.
