Join the celebrations at 1820s Pockerley Old Hall, The 1900s Town and Pit Village and The 1940s Farm. Admire the shops and houses decked out in their finery, sample Christmas cooking lovingly baked in coal-fired ranges or find some last minute quirky gifts in the shops in The Town and the Beamish Bazaar.

Be enchanted by Christmas at Beamish

Today we travel to Christmas past. Beamish museum is a living, working experience of life as it was in the great north in Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian times. Travel on the restored tramway to visit Pockerley Old Hall, The Town, Rowley Station, The Fairground, Home Farm and The Pit Village, all specially decorated for the festive season. This is definitely a full day visit. There are plenty of places for food and drink and a large gift shop as well, you may even pick up a few Christmas presents!
