Christmas Lights of London for Groups
Lunch in Greenwich
Embrace the festive season with a trip to the Capital to see it lit up in all its Christmas glory! Your Christmas lights tour begins when you meet your guide at 12 for lunch at the Cafe Rouge in Greenwich. Grand entrance doors lead the way to stunning mosaic flooring throughout the restaurant. French clocks and sun dials adorn the walls, in a nod to Greenwich Mean Time and history. In summer, the lovely outdoor dining terrace and porch make Café Rouge a prime spot to people watch or just to unwind over a glass of your favourite. Enjoy a delicious 2 course lunch with tea and coffee before heading off to the market.
Discover London’s only historic market set within a World Heritage site
After lunch, you will have the opportunity to visit the historic Greenwich Market. The market which has been on site since 1831, has a range of craft and art items, as well as delicious local produce. Greenwich Market was voted as the place to shop in Greenwich in Time Out Love London Awards 2018!
From Greenwich, board your coach as the sun starts to fade and the Christmas lights shine around the city. Your guide will tell stories of the sights and sounds of London Town. End your day at the famous Covent Garden Market.
The Original “Convent” Garden
Soak up the festive atmosphere as you browse the numerous stalls full of gift ideas. Covent Garden is actually a bastardization of ‘Convent Garden’, which it was called as early as the 1500s for being the vegetable garden of the monks of Westminster Abbey. It has remained on site for 400 years and has evolved from being the worlds largest produce market to the major tourist and shopping destination it is today.
Lights, Camera, Action!
Sit back and marvel at the festive lights before you start your journey home!
