Day 1
Depart the UK
Take the afternoon ferry crossing from Holyhead to Dublin, then a short drive to your hotel in time for dinner.
Day 2
Free Day in Dublin
(Coach driver’s rest day)
Take a 20-minute tram into Dublin, use your sightseeing bus tour ticket to enjoy the highlights of Dublin, optional visit to the Guinness Storehouse or Jameson Whiskey.
Day 3
Sligo Abbey and the Sligo Country Museum
Morning departure from Dublin, we head north to Sligo where we visit the final resting place of poet WB Yeates, Sligo Abbey and the Sligo Country Museum.
Day 4
Slieve League Cliffs and Donegal Cruise
Travel via Killybegs to view the spectacular Slieve League cliffs, the highest in Europe at 1,972 ft above the sea. Enjoy the views of the Glengesh Pass and on to Donegal for an afternoon cruise and some free time to wander in the old town.
Day 5
Glenveagh National Park and Lifford Courthouse
Today, visit Glenveagh National Park, a remote and hauntingly beautiful wilderness in the heart of Donegal, enjoy a guided tour of Glenveagh Castle. Afternoon visit to Lifford Courthouse to step back in time for a ‘Live’ tour of Donegal’s original county jail!
Day 6
Belleek Pottery and Return to Dublin
This morning, enjoy a fascinating factory tour of the world famous Belleek China Pottery, where you can watch the different stages of the pottery making process. Continue to Dublin for final overnight stop.
Day 7
Return to the UK
After an early breakfast, take the ferry and return home.
