Enjoy the Edinburgh Christmas celebrations which start in late November and run until Christmas Eve. With the official switch-on of the Christmas lights the whole city gets into the swing of things. The city has an entire month packed with spectacular events, performances, fairground rides, and of course the Edinburgh Christmas Markets.

Day 1
Travel to Edinburgh
Travel to Edinburgh and check into your centrally located hotel. There is plenty of choice for dinner in the many city centre restaurants, or why not enjoy the German cuisine at one of the stalls on the market and really soak up the atmosphere.
Day 2
Christmas Markets
Today explore Edinburgh’s fantastic Christmas markets! The festivities begin in Princes St Gardens, and spread across the city. Attractions include ice skating, markets and rides, including the Big Wheel with breath-taking views over the city. Enjoy the unique Christmas shopping experience and pick up some gifts from the European and Scottish markets with its fair of crafters, artists, gift shops and gastronomic surprises.
Day 3
Depart Edinburgh
Before you depart Edinburgh why not visit one of its wonderful attractions. Edinburgh Castle, the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Royal Yacht Britannia are some of our favourites! (supplement on request).

Cairn Hotel ***
The Cairn Hotel is 800 metres from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station and the shops, theatres and nightlife of Princes Street. It offers free WiFi and has a breakfast room on the lower ground floor. All of the rooms have showers, TVs and tea/coffee. Hair dryers, irons and ironing boards are available on request. There is a comfortable bar area. The hotel does not have a lift. Coaches can drop off outside.
