Yorkshire is as well known for welcoming guests with open arms and a nice cup of tea. The county is also renowned for rugged landscapes, Georgian architecture, famous authors and delicious food. Experience an authentic Yorkshire welcome at our Harrogate hotel, including Yorkshire tea and biscuits on arrival, a Yorkshire themed menu each evening, and a glass of local craft beer or wine one evening. We also taste the local delicacies at the Black Sheep Brewery and Wensleydale Creamery, board a heritage train in Haworth, and enjoy Cream Tea on the Skipton canal.

Travel to Yorkshire
Spend the afternoon exploring Harrogate. Depending on your journey time you may wish to visit RHS Harlow Carr gardens on the outskirts of Harrogate. Upon arrival at our hotel we receive a warm welcome including a cup of Yorkshire tea and biscuits. There is time to relax before our evening meal, which will include a range of locally sourced produce. (Hotel menu is subject to seasonality and produce availability.)
Black Sheep Brewery and Wensleydale Creamery
This morning we travel to the North Yorkshire market town of Masham for a tour of the famous Black Sheep Brewery and sample some of the products in the bar. Next we travel through the magnificent scenery of the Yorkshire Dales to Hawes and the Wensleydale Creamery. We go back in time with a tour of the original farmhouse dairy to learn about the cheese-making process and the chance to watch the skilled craftsmen in the cheese rooms. Next up is the chance to sample dozens of cheese varieties in the shop – heaven for any cheese-lover! This evening we enjoy a local craft beer or glass of wine with dinner.
Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and Skipton Canal Cruise with Cream Tea
This morning we take a heritage train ride on the picturesque Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, the setting for the 1970 film ‘The Railway Children’. Haworth is famous for its connection with the Bronte sisters and there is time to explore the village or you may choose to travel to Skipton and visit Keelham Farm Shop. Next we will board our Skipton canal boat for a delightful two hour cruise along the canal, including a cream tea. We return to our hotel for another Yorkshire themed dinner.
