For many people, Guernsey’s rural charm and a more leisurely pace of life draws them back, time and time again. This Guernsey highlights tour brings together the very best the island has to offer, including St Peter Port and Castle Cornet. The tour will also include a stop at The Little Chapel on the half day coach tour, as well as a visit to Sausmarez Manor. The tour offers the opportunity to sail from St Peters Port to Sark by ferry. With no cars on the Island a tractor-drawn bus can transfer you up to Harbour Hill!

Day 1

Travel to Guernsey

Travel to Poole by coach, then by ferry to St Peter Port or fly from your local airport. On arrival in Guernsey you’ll be met by coach for the transfer to your hotel.

Overnight accommodation may be required depending on sailing schedule from Poole.

Day 2

Island Tour and Sausmarez Manor

Enjoy a full day island coach tour today . A highlight will be our stop at The Little Chapel, as much a curiosity as a work of art, totally covered in shells and broken bits of china. In the afternoon we visit Sausmarez Manor, a family home, with parts dating back to the 12th Century. The estate houses a curious sculpture park and a large bamboo forest.

Day 3

St Peter Port and Castle Cornet

Today we have a full day to explore St Peter Port, Guernsey’s picturesque capital, starting with a sightseeing visit to Castle Cornet – St Peter’s Port harbour guide for more than 800 years. A guided tour takes you onto the battlements for views towards the neighbouring islands. After the tour explore at leisure, but don’t miss the daily firing of the noon-day gun.

Day 4

Day Trip to Sark or free day

Sail from St Peter Port to Sark by ferry for approximately 45 minute journey to the picturesque and car-free island of Sark (supplement price) or enjoy a day at leisure on the island.

Day 5

Return home

Return to the port for your ferry back to England home or to the airport to fly to your local airport.

La Trelade Hotel ***

The hotel is situated 3 miles from St Peter’s Port, close to the island airport and a short walk from the coastal paths. It is close to a bus stop and it is easy to hop on the circular island bus route from here. All rooms are en-suite with flat screen TV, telephone, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi. They have a restaurant plus a lift and onsite parking.

Pandora Hotel **

This charming hotel is situated at the top of a steep hill overlooking St Peter Port. There are steps at the entrance and throughout the hotel with no lift, making it a good choice for active groups without accessibility concerns. The restaurant on the lower ground floor overlooks lush gardens, and serves fresh local food with breakfast cooked to order. There are 55 bedrooms including some ground floor rooms (some steps still involved). All rooms are en-suite with TV, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi.

Peninsula Hotel ****

Situated on a sandy beach on the North West coast of Guernsey, with views of Grand Havre Bay.
Hotel facilities: Restaurant; bar; lounge area; gardens.
Room facilities: En-suite bathrooms; satellite TV; hair dryer; tea & coffee making facilities.
Useful information: This hotel has a lift and ample parking. There are only 2 rooms will walk in showers

Hotels in the Bournemouth area are available and can be pre booked before or after your ferry crossing.

All prices are per person based on sharing a double or twin room and with one free place for a courier in a single room, both are based on a minimum 20 full fare paying passengers.
