Suggested itinerary by Coach or Air
Travel to Guernsey
Travel to Poole by coach, then by ferry to St Peter Port (or fly from your local airport). On arrival in Guernsey you’ll be met by coach for the transfer to your hotel.
Island Tour and Sausmarez Manor
A full day coach tour takes us to the fascinating La Vallette Underground Military Museum, Fort Grey and the Shipwreck Museum. A highlight will be our stop at The Little Chapel, as much a curiosity as a work of art, totally covered in shells and broken bits of china. We visit Sausmarez Manor, a family home, with parts dating back to the 12th Century. The estate houses a curious sculpture park and a large bamboo forest.
St Peter Port, Le Petit Train and Castle Cornet
Today we have a full day to explore St Peter Port, Guernsey’s picturesque capital, starting with a sightseeing trip on Le Petit Train through the streets of the town. Afterwards we visit Castle Cornet, St Peter’s Port harbour guide for more than 800 years. A guided tour takes you onto the battlements for views towards the neighbouring islands. After the tour explore the onsite museums, but don’t miss the daily firing of the noon-day gun.
Sark or Herm, or free day
Sail from St Peter Port to Sark or Herm by ferry for approximately 45 minute journey to one of the islands (supplement price) or enjoy further free time in St Peter Port.
Return to the port for your ferry back to England home (or to the airport to fly to your local airport).
