Secrets of Surrey
In this jam-packed tour there really is something for everyone with visits to RHS Garden Wisley, the fascinating Polesden Lacey, Denbies Wine Estate, Brooklands Museum, and historic Guildford. RHS Garden Wisley is the historic home of the RHS and houses one of the largest plant collections in the world. We recently visited Denbies Wine Estate and can not recommend the attraction highly enough. Take their covered train through the vineyard or enjoy an indoor tour of the winery – both options include a tasting! Polesden Lacey is a popular National Trust attraction and has a fascinating link to the Royal Family jewels. Also included is the Brooklands Museum, a wealth of motor racing memorabilia.

Our visit starts with a one-hour tour led by a trained guide.
Polesden Lacey and Denbies Wine Estate.
Polesden Lacy, one of the National Trust’s most popular properties, was the home of Margaret Greville, an Edwardian society hostess. The house displays her exceptional collection of fine paintings, furniture, porcelain, silver and personal mementoes. In the afternoon we visit nearby Denbies Wine Estate, The vineyard was planted in 1986, and since then has become one of the largest wine producers in the UK. A train tour of the vineyards ends includes the opportunity to sample their famous English sparking wine. If your group would prefer you can opt instead for an indoor tour of the winery with a sampling at the end, or there is the option to do both the indoor and outdoor tour.
Guildford and Brooklands Museum.
This morning we visit historic Guildford, with its quaint cobbled High Street. Stroll in the grounds of the Castle, or head to the top of the Great Tower for a 360-degree panoramic view. In the afternoon we visit Brooklands Museum, the site of the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit. The museum tells the story of eight decades of engineering and technological achievements with a vast collection of motor racing memorabilia.
