In this tour we visit the picturesque villages of Lynton and Lynmouth, discover the National Trust’s Arlington Hall, go behind the scenes at the fascinating Dartington Crystal, visit RHS Garden Rosemoor, and explore the popular destinations of Ilfracombe and Bideford.

Day 1

Day 2
Lynton and Lynmouth
This morning we take a leisurely journey through the scenic Exmoor National Park to the twin towns of Lynmouth and Lynton. Made popular by Victorian holidaymakers, and often referred to as ‘Little Switzerland’, these two small towns are connected by a cliff railway built in 1890. In the afternoon we visit Arlington Court, an unexpected jewel on the edge of Exmoor and a family home for more than 500 years. The National Trust Carriage Museum in the stables has a vehicle for every occasion from cradle to grave.
Day 3
Dartington Crystal and RHS Garden Rosemoor
An unusual treat today with a visit to Dartington Crystal, one of the few remaining manufacturers of hand-crafted crystal in the UK. The factory tour reveals the craftsmen at work and there’s an opportunity to browse for gifts in the extensive factory shop. In the afternoon we visit RHS Garden Rosemoor. Rosemoor is nestled in a sheltered valley in between Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, and blends formal and informal plantings giving a wonderful effect.
Day 4
Ilfracombe and Bideford
Time to relax and enjoy two of north Devon’s most popular towns. Ilfracombe has been welcoming holidaymakers for many years with its harbour, cliffs and beaches. Bideford is famous for its quaint streets, market, 17th century Merchants House and famous Long Bridge that spans the River Torridge.
