Make your way to Paris by coach and ferry, from the UK. On arrival in Paris, take the time after check-in to relax and enjoy Paris, the rest of the day and evening is at leisure.

• Jardin du Luxembourg – Inspired by the Boboli gardens in Florence, they were created in 1612 and cover 25 acres in the centre of Paris.

Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe

After breakfast, depart for Paris Longchamp, set in the leafy surroundings of the Bois de Boulogne, for a full day at the races. Enjoy the atmosphere of Europe’s premier flat racing meeting, with a full card building to the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe itself, and time between races to soak up the occasion and browse the enclosures. Return to the hotel at the end of racing, with the evening at leisure.

Montmartre and River Seine Cruise

After breakfast in the hotel, drive to Montmartre and meet up with a local guide for a walking tour.  This area of Paris is part of the Right Bank and known for its artistic history.  Take the speedy Montmartre Funicular up to the famous Sacre Coeur Basilica. (For the more energetic there is the option of climbing the steps that ascend alongside the funicular).

There will be some free time  to admire this striking monument before finding a nice spot for a leisurely lunch. The views from here are exceptional. The coach will be waiting to drive back down to the city and embark on a 1 hour leisurely cruise along the Seine where you can see the city skyline from a different perspective.
