Take a relaxing 2 hour canal cruise in Manchester before taking an enchanted walk through RHS Glow 2026 at Bridgewater, marvelling at spectacular light displays along your way. The magnificent gardens at RHS Bridgewater get a beautiful seasonal makeover each December. Weave through tunnels festooned with fairy lights and mirror balls, and marvel at the fountains in the Paradise Garden. Sing-a-long to a playlist of much-loved Manchester tunes under the rainbow lights.

Day 1
Travel to your hotel, Optional visit to Tatton Hall Christmas Mansion and Gardens
En route to your hotel why not stop in at Tatton Hall* for a spectacular festive event. The mansion is dressed in sensational sets, illuminated floral decorations, enchanting music, and characters from bygone Christmas times. Our tickets also include entrance to the mansion gardens. Next we travel the short distance to our hotel in the Manchester area in time for dinner.

Day 2
Canal Cruise and RHS Glow 2026 at Bridgewater
After a leisurely start we travel into Manchester to join our canal cruise. We take to the canals and rivers of Manchester on our private, fully licensed and centrally heated passenger boats, accompanied by commentary and background music
As the evening approaches we arrive at RHS Bridgewater ready for the main event – RHS Glow. See the garden in breath-taking beauty as amazing illuminations light your way on our spectacular Glow trail. Take in the twinkling magic of the Chinese Music Pavillion and the amazing light projections on Garden Cottage. There are many yummy festive drinks and cakes available, and a garden centre to explore.
Day 3
Return home
Enjoy a traditional English breakfast and depart your hotel. Greatdays can suggest attractions for you to visit along your route home.
