Suggested itinerary by coach

Day 1

Travel to your hotel in Perth

If you’re travelling a distance, ask about overnight stops.

Day 2

Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Yacht Britannia and Palace of Holyroodhouse

This morning we visit Edinburgh Castle. We then travel along the famous Royal Mile to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Queen’s official residence in Scotland. A few miles away, the port of Leith is home to The Royal Yacht Britannia. An audio tour leads you through the five decks, giving a fascinating insight into the lives of the Royal Family.

Day 3

Stirling Castle and Scone Palace

Our first visit today is to Stirling Castle. We take a private guided tour of the refurbished rooms of the Royal Palace that reveal how it might have looked when it was the childhood home of Mary Queen of Scots, and we’re transported into the rich world of Scotland’s royalty in the 1500s. Scone Palace, near Perth, is the seat of parliaments and the crowning place of the Kings of Scots.

Day 4

Royal Deeside, Balmoral and Glamis Castle

Today we travel to Royal Deeside and Balmoral Castle, the Scottish holiday home of the Royal Family. Depending on the time of year there’s an opportunity to visit the gardens, gift shop and exhibitions. We make a short stop at Crathie Kirk, the local church used by the Royal Family. In the afternoon we visit Glamis Castle, a castle of turrets and towers, and the childhood home of the Queen and the Queen Mother.
