Day 1
Arrive in San Francisco and Begin your Adventure!
Arrive at San Francisco International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Perhaps, begin your your tour by immersing yourself in true San Franciscan culture by experiencing the tantalising commercial hub of San Francisco. Learn how to make cocktails California style and raise a glass to your American adventure.
Day 2
San Francisco Sightseeing
Start your first full day by getting your bearings and see the sights for yourself. Whether it be a private tour or an open top bus, take this opportunity to learn about this city and see what makes the place an incredible destination. You can also join a bike tour, or rent bikes individually and ride over the Golden Gate Bridge to experience the city from another perspective!
Day 3
San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz
Head to the ‘Frisco Bay and watch the tide roll away and see for yourself the beautiful vista beholding the Golden Gate Bridge and the hills that lie beyond it, before heading journeying across the estuary to the island of Alcatraz. Discover the historic prison with a memorable tour that includes a presentation featuring actual correctional officers and prisoners who lived and worked on the island. As well as this, you will get the chance to see the historic gardens and the abundance of wildlife that now inhabits the island.
Day 4
Napa Valley
Roughly an hour’s drive north of San Francisco and boasting more than 400 wineries, Napa Valley is a connoisseurs’s paradise, inviting visitors to explore beyond the region’s signature Cabernet Sauvignon and Cardonnay. Here, you’ll have the chance to choose your type of tour as there are variety of options on offer, ranging from a hot air balloon to a limo ride to a cycling tour. The choice is yours. Napa Valley exploded into the global spotlight following the 1976 judgement of Paris, when a Chateau Montelena Chardonnay from Calistoga trounced nine other Chardonnays in a blind tasting in Paris, including extremely prestigious bottles from France.
Day 5
Fly Home
The time has come to depart from this iconic city. Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. Alternatively, we can arrange for tour extensions so your can discover more of the incredible USA.
