On this new tour based in Southampton we explore both the New Forest including Beaulieu and Hambledon Vineyard. First we visit Beaulieu, home of the National Motor Museum, and then enjoy a river cruise at neighbouring Buckler’s Hard. Spend a day in Southampton discovering the cities connection with both Tudor times and the Titanic. We also explore a steam-driven Brickworks and are treated to a tour and tasting at England’s oldest vineyard.

Day 1

 Travel to Southampton.

 

Day 2

Beaulieu, the National Motor Museum and a River Cruise

Today, we visit Beaulieu and the National Motor Museum. After lunch we take a relaxing cruise on the Beaulieu River from the picturesque village of Buckler’s Hard. Here we explore the fascinating Maritime Museum and ‘Buckler’s Hard Story’ with its reconstructed 18th century cottage interiors, completes an insight how people lived and worked in this part of the New Forest.

Day 3

The Brickworks Museum and Hambledon Vineyard.

This morning, we travel to the only steam driven brickworks left in the country. After a 45-minute guided tour there is time to explore the rest of the museum at leisure. Next we travel to Hambledon, England’s oldest vineyard. Our premium tour includes a walk through the historical vineyards, visit the state-of-the-art winery and underground cellars, finished by a tasting. (Hambledon Vineyard are unable to cater for those with mobility issues and has two metal spiral staircases.)

 

Day 4

Southampton Museums

Today, we explore the historical and cultural centre of Southampton.First we visit timber-framed Tudor House, Built in the late 15th century, the house gives a unique and atmospheric insight into the lives and times of its residents through the years. We then visit Seacity Museum, home of Southampton’s Titanic Story, and neighbouring Southampton Art Gallery.

Day 5

Return Home
